NOVEMBER 2024: VCF ACADEMY PROGRAMS
Check out all the activities scheduled for this month
The internationalisation of Valencia CF and the VCF Academy has been in continual growth in recent seasons, with the aim of expanding the brand image of Valencia CF and spreading the work methodology of the VCF Academy -one of the 5 best academies in Europe according to the last two reports from the CIES Football Observatory.
This commitment has been recognised with the club chosen as a finalist in the WFS Industry Awards organised by the World Football Summit, in the category of ‘Best Internationalisation Strategy by Deloitte.’
Other finalists are Everton FC, Sevilla FC and FC Bengaluru United, with the winner to be announced on September 9th. The awards ceremony will be held on September 22nd during the 2021 World Football Summit at the Wanda Metropolitano in Madrid.
Through the VCF Soccer Academy Programmes, the VCF Academy has developed an internationalisation strategy that in recent years has provided a presence all over the planet, with 12 VCF Soccer Academies in strategic markets in North America, Europe, Africa and Asia.
The training methods of Valencia CF and the club’s values are instilled through these programmes, with the participants enjoying and learn from the best professionals from the VCF Academy.
VCF Soccer Camps and Sports Consulting services are also integrated into the programme, with the club redoubling efforts to adapt to the health crisis caused by COVID-19, maintaining activity and personal contact despite the difficult circumstances.
In the last three years, more than 100 VCF Soccer Camps have been held in different countries: USA, Panama, Croatia, Montenegro, Italy, Holland, Belgium, Germany or Albania, Lithuania, Switzerland and Estonia, among others. More than 5000 players and 200 coaches have had the opportunity to learn first-hand about the VCF Academy methodology, whilst the initiative also allows Valencia CF to spot the best local talents.
In addition to direct actions abroad, the Ciudad Deportiva also hosts players and coaches from around the world through specific visiting programmes and the Elite Campus.
Around 2000 players a year visit the Ciudad Deportiva, experiencing what a player from the VCF Academy feels training at the facilities with coaches from the VCF Academy -and also seeing Mestalla and the city of Valencia.

The VCF Academy is also a finalist in the ECA Youth Football Awards, chosen by the European Club Association for the #AcademiaEnComunidad project -whereby the different teams, in collaboration with the VCF Foundation, participated in social actions. The idea is for the players to become aware of the social responsibility that Valencia CF as a club has, and of the need to collaborate while giving visibility to the groups and associations with which they collaborate.
VCF Soccer Academies, such as that in Houston, have also participated in this campaign, with a Solidarity Day to collect food and toys in the Katy Community over Christmas.
The ECA will announce the winners of its awards at the General Assembly that will take place on September 6th and 7th.
